• Cora cf. terminalis    -    Near Aguas Caliente: RR tracks close to helicopter pad alongside 20 cm stream trickling down hillside.  13°9.65'S, 72°31.37'W, approx. 1950 m (baro).  Disturbed site in montane cloud forest.  1 male, 3 Nov.

• Polythore boliviana    -    Cusco to Manu (Atalaya) road.  Small rocky creek.  13°2.91'S, 71°35.87'W, approx. 1250 m (baro).  Saw both males and females.  Captured 1 male, 9 Nov.

Calopterygidae:

• Heataerina rosea        -        Amazonia Lodge, 12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro), Small creek crossing jeep trail.  2males, 1 female, 12 Nov.

Megapodagrionidae:

• Megapodagrionidae sp.    -    In a group being revised by J. Demarmels.  Identified by D. Paulson as belonging to a new genus being named and described by Demarmels.  Will be identified here after publication of the paper.  Near Aguas Caliente: RR tracks close to helicopter pad alongside 20 cm stream trickling down hillside.  13°9.65'S, 72°31.37'W, approx. 1950 m (baro).  Disturbed site in montane cloud forest.  1 male, 3 Nov.

• Acanthagrion ascendens    -    Amazonia Lodge.  12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500 m (baro), Small pond near jeep trail.  1 male, 12 Nov.

• Acanthagrion obsoletum   -    Amazonia Lodge.  12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro), 4 m sandy stream that had to be crossed to get ot lodge from landing on river.  1 male, 14 Nov.

• Acanthagrion sp.    -    Amazonia Lodge.  12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro), Small pond near jeep trail.  1 male, 12 Nov.

• Argia sp. a  -    Near Aguas Caliente: RR tracks close to helicopter pad alongside 20 cm stream trickling down hillside.  13°9.65'S, 72°31.37'W, approx. 1950 m (baro).  Disturbed site in montane cloud forest. Pair seen in copula but not captured, male very deep purple and blue, 3 Nov.

• Argia sp. b     -    Amazonia Lodge.  12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro), 4 m sandy stream that had to be crossed to get ot lodge from landing on river.  2 males, 14 Nov.

• Argia sp. c    -    Cusco to Manu (Atalaya) road.  At water trickling down mossy cliff face above road.  13°2.58'S, 71°35.70'W, approx. 1500 m (baro), 1 male, 8 Nov.

Aeshnidae:

• Aeshna diffinis    -    Huacarpay Lakes in vicinity of Cusco.  Shallow lakes with reeds, grasses, surrounded by muddy, grassy flats.  13°36.71'S, 71°44.21'W, approx. 3000 m (baro).  Saw pairs in copula.  Caught only males.  6 males, 5 Nov.  (Note: this may prove to be Aeshna absoluta according to a newly published work by N. Von Ellenrieder on this group of blue darners that was published in the latest Odonatologica.)

• Aeshnidae sp. (Marmaeschna sp.??)   -    Sacsahuaman Ruins overlooking Cusco.  Seen and photographed (photo at right) but not captured, 4 Nov.

Gomphidae:

• Phyllogomphoides sp.   -    Amazonia Lodge, 12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro), Small creek crossing jeep trail.  1 male, 12 Nov.

Corduliidae: Macromiinae:

• Gomphomacromia cf. fallax   -    Cusco to Manu (Atalaya) road. 

  • 1 male, 7 Nov., at small trickling stream coming down steep hillside above road.  13°10.7'S, 71°36.57'W, approx. 2600 m (baro). 

  • 1 male, 8 Nov., at water trickling down mossy cliff face above road.  13°2.58'S, 71°35.70'W, approx. 1500 m (baro), also saw female flying along cliff face and flipping tail into the moss to oviposit.

Libellulidae:

• Brechmorhoga rapax    -    Cusco to Manu (Atalaya) road.  Small rocky creek.  13°2.91'S, 71°35.87'W, approx 1250 m (baro).  Males patrolled stream, hovering over water, repeatedly working same section.  Seemed to prefer shadier times and would go up heavily-vegetated portions in deep shade.  2 males, 9 Nov.

• Dasythemis esmerelda    -    Amazonia Lodge.  12°52.31'S, 71°22.44'W, 500m (baro).

  • 1 male, 14 Nov.  Small creek crossing jeep trail.

  • 1 male, 14 Nov.  4 m sandy stream that had to be crossed to get ot lodge from landing on river.
