MISHA - A BLACK LAB OF DISTINCTION

Beckemeyer's Mr. Misha, out of Cottonwood's Lady Magnum by Hightest Paint's Newcut Road JH. Born 1 January, 1995. Deceased 9 August, 1998. Put down while being held in our arms after a valiant effort by Dr. Arnquist and the Small Animal staff at the Kansas State University Veterinary Hospital. Known to our Riverside neighborhood as the gentle giant who wandered our garden and yard but would not leave it's unfenced boundaries without permission, and who was the official neighborhood greeter. Known to the neighborhood dogs as the activities director at the park in the evening, soliciting all who came for play and tag and running through the sprinklers. Known to the children at the Wichita Childrens Home as the big lovable therapy dog who came to visit and let them show him their rooms or hug him on the floor. Our constant companion, stalwart defender, loved and loving friend. His passing has left a 107 pound hole in our hearts. We can't stop crying, Misha, and we miss you so much.

Misha, our late Black Lab. Just A Dog

Just a dog, with big brown eyes and silky ears.
Just a dog who never met a creature he didn't like.
Just a dog who liked pizza and tacos and picnics.
Just a dog who pressed his head on our laps wanting to share our food and lives.
Just a dog who brought his stuffed bunny and wanted to play.
Just a dog - crestfallen when we left, ecstatic when we returned.
Just a dog who exalted in rivers and woods and sprinklers.
Just a dog whos shared every part of our lives: our food, our bed, our walks.
Just a dog - a social director - who greeted all people and dogs who came.
Just a dog - exuberant, enthusiastic and happy.
Just a dog who loved massages, neck and belly rubs.
Just a dog we loved.
