A dragonfly at Kanha National Park.

The first part of our trip to India in March and April of 2001 was focused on wildlife, especially on birds and tigers.  The second part was a trip to some of the incredible forts and palaces found in western India in Rajasthan.  At left is one of just a few dragonflies I saw on the trip.  Spring is the dry season in India, the best time for seeing tigers because there is little dense vegetation for them to hide in.  Below is one of the impressive buildings, the City Palace in Udaipur.
